About

My name is Betty Feng. I'm a professional Counsellor with a Master of Counselling from Monash University, as well as a Master of Business Admin (MBA) from Deakin university. I am also an accredited member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). I have worked with the Centre for Multicultural Youth, Community Centres, and welfare institutions for the disabled and the elderly. I also offer counselling services for Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) through Workplace Options.

Specialities and interventions:

I specialise in helping adults and adolescent clients that experience depression, anxiety, grief and loss, culture differences, and relationship difficulties. I'm passionate about using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focussed brief therapy (SFBT), behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and person-centred therapy to help my clients achieve positive outcomes and reach their goals.

Statement of Purpose:

Although you may be experiencing a difficult time in your life right now, I hope that through my support and encouragement I can accompany you through this dark time. In our counselling sessions, we can explore and discover the root of any problems together and search for new solutions. I can help you understand your emotions, including discovering any automatic thoughts or blind spots. I can help you to find clarity so you can be free of the issues that have plagued you. I hope I can use my knowledge and experience to help you through the difficulties.

I offer counselling in both English and Mandarin languages.
